By Lynda Richard - If you look closely at a daffodil, the very intricacy of the flower – the extension of the trumpet – there are few flowers more incredible looking in all of nature. That beauty was exactly what inspired Fenwick Fatkin to embark on a venture so many years ago that has resulted in Bradner becoming known as “The Daffodil Capital of Canada.” By Nancy McRae - Faith and Rachel just had their 3rd annual pumpkin sale and it was bigger and better than ever! They raised $526.45 for cancer research. WOW!! Thank you to everyone who donated for this worthy cause! A BIG thank you to Jennifer Field Realty who donated a whopping $300.00 for her pumpkins! Next year the girls want to diversify into a few different kinds of pumpkins and gourds. Hope to see you all back next year!
Sue Luzia - Brander, BC - A Bradner family is need of help! They have been going thru a rough time with medical emergencies with both children and their father/husband. This family has been in Bradner for about 20 - 25 years. Both children need kidney transplants - the daughter is still in critical condition at Children's Hospital and the father/husband needs heart surgery. Their grandmother still lives on Bradner Road and all her kids went to Bradner Elementary. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help them through this difficult time.
Buy local pumpkins - proceeds go to Cancer Research. This is the 3RD ANNUAL PUMPKIN SALE! Faith and Rachel feel everyone has been touched by some loved one who has or has had cancer. They grown these pumpkins with their Grandpa each year. Come look for the bright sign and large assortment (about 150) of colourful pumpkins, big and small @ 29534 Marsh McCormick Road (by Jubilee Hall).
