The Mt. Lehman Garden Club’s next meeting will Thursday September 20th, 2018 at 7 pm at the Mt. Lehman Community Hall. The speaker this month will be David Wilson, of The Heather Farm in Chilliwack, giving a presentation on heathers.

The names heath and heather are often used interchangeably. Although both are somewhat similar low evergreen shrubs of the Old World, heather has short, scale like, overlapping leaves and a profusion of long-lasting rosy flowers; the true heathers (genus Erica) have needle like leaves and white, rose, or yellow flowers. Species of this large genus are characteristic of vast moor areas in West Europe and, especially, South Africa and the Mediterranean area.

Local Pumpkins by Donation

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins!! It is almost that time of year again to pick out your perfect, favourite pumpkin. Faith and Rachel, along with their grandpa, have been looking after this years pumpkins all summer. To start things off early they have grown these cute small pumpkins, orange, white, yellow and striped ones, the perfect decoration :) Come and get some while they last. The bigger ones will be available soon, big, medium, small. All proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation, one of their favourite charities. Look for the bright sign at 29535 Marsh McCormick Rd. Abbotsford.
