Warawa Calls on Parliament to join Canadians and world leaders in condemning gender-based violence

Ottawa, ON – Today, Langley—Aldergrove Member of Parliament, Mark Warawa announced the introduction of his Private Members Business Motion (M-77): A Motion to Protect Girls. The motion calls for Parliament to join Canadians and world leaders in condemning a violent form of gender-based discrimination, known as sex selection.

“Right now, over 200 million women and girls are Missing…Gone…forever! There is an extremely dangerous gender imbalance…not enough women and girls. This global crisis is called gendercide and is caused by sex selection.

Electoral Reform Survey Results Handed to House Committee

Ottawa, ON – Langley—Aldergrove Member of Parliament, Mark Warawa released the electoral reform survey results on Parliament Hill. The responses are from a survey that was sent to every household in Langley-Aldergrove two weeks ago. The results will be submitted to the House of Commons Special Committee on Electoral Reform.

Ottawa, ON – Today, Mark Warawa, Member of Parliament for Langley — Aldergrove, introduced his Private Member’s Bill C-268: Protection of Freedom of Conscience Act.

Warawa’s bill would amend the Liberal government’s assisted suicide legislation, Bill C-14. It would guarantee the protection of conscience rights of physicians and health care professionals who conscientiously object to participating in assisted suicide and euthanasia.
