 Image - Photo by Landon Parenteau from Pexels British Columbia Direct Democracy Party - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently gave $595 million to 'qualifying' journalists. Shortly thereafter the corona pandemic struck leading to a critical need for ventilators. Ventilators cost $10,000 each and BC has a shortage. $595 million is enough to buy 60,000 ventilators. If asked, would BC voters be more likely to support giving $595 million to journalists or would they rather that money be spent on ventilators for hospitals during the most disruptive pandemic in history? We'll never know because voters were never given a say in the matter.
 Why are Childcare Subsidy, Gaming Grants, Child Care Operating Funding and the Major Capital Funding: Creation of New Licensed Child Care Spaces been totally omitted from the $10/day conversation?
As an expert in the childcare field, I am tired of waiting for someone to point out what parents and care givers already have. Instead, I only hear the $10/day lure... dazzling voters into the $10/day childcare plan that the NDP is proposing.  LANGLEY, B.C. – February 14, 2017. Warawa’s bill would amend the Liberal government’s assisted suicide legislation, Bill C-14. It would guarantee the protection of conscience rights of physicians and health care professionals who conscientiously object to participating in assisted suicide and euthanasia. Bradner BC - The Initiative, Referenda, and Recall system, or IRR system is an initiative process through which a registered voter can propose a new law or changes to an existing law on matters over which the provincial legislature has authority. A voter must collect signatures from 10% of the registered voters in each of the province’s electoral districts for an initiative petition to succeed. The initiative process is unique to BC – no other province or territory in Canada has initiative legislation....! So how can this IRR system be used to save our education system in BC and our K-7's in Abbotsford? |
