It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mala Webb. Mala died peacefully on April 14th, 2017 of a suspected heart attack and joins her son Cameron (3/30/1980 - 4/02/2016), her sister Beena, and many other loved ones in heaven. Mala will be dearly missed by her children Jocelyn Much (Justin Much), Jenna Pye (Christian Pye), her daughter-in-law Kim Ngo, her five grandchildren Lachian, Kerala, Abby, Jovi, and Ava and her many friends and family.

Mala was nothing short of exceptional and had a deep devotion to God. If you met her you were instantly touched by her unconditional love and generosity. She loved and helped everyone she met. Mala was born in Guyana, South America and moved to Canada in 1965. She married and had three beautiful children who she devoted her every breath to. Mala later graduated from UFV with her Bachelor of Arts in History. She became an ESL teacher for Abbotsford Community Services and was adored by all her students. Mala was a committed member of Seven Oaks Alliance Church and had a huge circle of friends whom she loved very dearly.

Dearest Cam,

A part of us went with you when God called you home. We miss your twinkling brown eyes, your laugh, texts and facetime calls. You are forever our special boy, daddy, husband, brother, uncle and friend. Your sweet memories keep our broken hearts alive as we talk about you and want you everyday. Kerala is 3 now and asks for Daddy.  Abby is 23 months and copies her sister. We loved your passion for life and family and will forever cherish you and what you stood for. Thanks for the enormity of your unselfishness Cam. Until we see you again, we promise to keep telling your daughters about their wonderful daddy.

We love you so much.
Your loving family

Fatkin Bradner BC
Image - Submitted, Les & Mary Fatkin, Bradner BC
By Lynda Richard

Bradner has lost one of its most beloved residents with the passing of Mary Fatkin on December 14th, 2015 at the age of 90. Mary was a hard worker who loved her community and family. She was close to her grandkids and spoke fondly of them, having been very lucky to live right next door to two of them for most of their lives. She loved the laughter and life that the grandkids brought to her home, which she shared with husband Les. Her love of community was evident, as she worked quietly, often forgoing the accolades of someone front and centre, preferring to stay in the background. People who knew her were well aware of how very much she contributed to our community.

UPDATE: November 30th, 2015
RE: Mt. Lehman Cemetery Expansion Project
FROM: Scott Watson, Abbotsford City

We will be delaying the construction of Mt. Lehman Cemetery until 2016, looking to get started early in the New Year. This delay is as a result of getting the Request For Proposal out late, reviewing the proposals, having all of the proposals exceed the allotted budget and then with the Christmas Season coming up quickly not wanting to have the cemetery in a disarray shape during the holiday season. As we were optimistic that the expansion would be completed by the end of November 2015, it is just not possible.

Your continued support in this project is appreciated. If you..
