Bradner Community Club Supports Post Secondary Education - The Bradner Community Club wants to support our local students in their educational endeavours. Did you know that the community club awards up to four bursaries every year to deserving students? While open to everyone, preference is given to community club members or their families. High academic standing, although not mandatory, may be taken into consideration. Each bursary is $500 and is awarded based on the following merits:
1) Service to the community 2) Involvement within the community of Bradner, for example, helping at the annual Bradner Flower Show, Snow Pitch Tournament, or any of the other special events held each year. 3) Being a resident of, or connected to, the community of Bradner in some way. Applications by way of a letter outlining the student's qualifications must be submitted to the Bradner Community Club in the year in which the application is made. Deadline for submissions is May 15th. Example: By May 15th when the student intends to begin their post secondary education in the fall of that same year. The bursary will be awarded to each recipient once they provide proof of enrollment in a minimum of three courses in an accredited post-secondary institution. The institution does not have to be a university, as long as it is accredited. Recipients must also provide a valid student identification number. Unfortunately, failure to do so in a timely manner will result in the award being nullified. If you are a student getting ready to embark on their post secondary studies, don’t delay. If you know of a student who might qualify, please pass this information along. We look forward to hearing from you!
