Free Bradner & Mt Lehman Research Project Event

Come on down for the Fraser Valley Conservancy’s Bradner – Mt. Lehman Neighbourhood Event on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 ​​at the Mt. Lehman Community Hall (6418 Mount Lehman Road, Abbotsford).

This event is open to residents of the Bradner-Mt. Lehman neighbourhood, as it is part of a community-centered research and engagement project. The online survey we ran this summer told us you are interested in learning about ways you can help protect the environment in your neighbourhood!

Event Schedule

5:30 – Hot dog BBQ, information displays in/outside the hall (depending on weather)
6:30 – Speaker presentations in the hall (30 mins native plant gardening, 15 min break, 30 mins invasive species management)
7:45 – Results of FVC’s environmental protection neighbourhood survey

Get involved!

This is an opportunity for your group to promote yourselves and gain recognition and membership within the neighbourhood. You are welcome to have an information table set up from 5-6:30, or as late as you’d like. A neighbourhood-wide mail out will take place in a week to target as many residents as possible.
 
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending and what you may need. Tables will be provided, and tents are available if you need them. You can find the promotional posters attached if you are willing to help us promote the event (please remember, this event is meant for residents of the Bradner- Mt. Lehman neighbourhood). If there are other local groups you can think of that may be interested in attending please let me know.
 
PS: Volunteers are always fantastic for things like this. If you are interested in helping us out, especially with the BBQ, let me know!
